LOGISTIC TASKS
To be able to offer fully-integrated logistics models, Briese Schiffahrts GmbH & Co. KG has set up stevedoring businesses in Bremen, Emden and Papenburg (EPAS; BERA) to handle storage of goods for maritime transport, to provide forwarding services (by sea going and inland vessels, rail, or road), as well as loading, stowing and lashing of cargoes.
Briese Schiffahrts GmbH & Co. KG specializes in the transportation of wind power generators among other cargoes. For example, our staff in Emden handles more or less all of Enercon's exports of wind power generators at the EPAS Terminal (see plan). In Papenburg BERA has more than 100 rotors by GE-Wind in storage, pending final assembly or ongoing transportation.
