Piggyback export of ship sections
Open-top vessel as suitable candidate for sections shipments
Lately, Ilona Lazareva, General Manager of Briese Chartering, could fix a nice cargo for our OTECO carriers."Our nice MV "Treville" has been scheduled to transport three ship sections from Gdansk to Rauma.
Using the feature of Open Top Carriage, the sections could be stowed in the hold being more safe against damages on the sea-passage", Ilona continues. "However, MV "Treville" just seemed to be tailor-made for this shipment: In the end, only about 2 cm space could be measured up to the hatchcovers! It was a quite narrow story, but in the end it fitted!"
After the shipment containing three ship sections could be performed by "Treville" in April, the second shipment was performed in August by Rousse-4500dwt-vessel "Randzel". She took the very fore part of the newbuilding and was also loaded in Gdansk for destination Rauma in Finland, where all sections were put together.
