This August our Managing Director Ilona Lazareva was celebrating her 21 years in the company.We asked her how the story began.

How does Briese Chartering work?

Lately, Ilona Lazareva, General Manager of Briese Chartering, could fix a nice cargo for our OTECO carriers."Our nice MV "Treville" has been scheduled to transport three ship sections from Gdansk to Rauma.

At the end of February 2020, our nice MV “BBC London” was required to spend some days in Ravenna. In total, a small number of piles should be loaded to the vessel – a small number, but quite impressive pieces, as it turned out during the preparations of this shipment.

In the past years, many young people visited our company für some practical training. Many of the apprentices employed by Briese Schiffahrt spend some months at the Operating and Chartering departments to get a wide spectre of commercial and special shipping knowledge during their apprenticeship.

Our newbuidling makes it possible to carry even newest type of blades on deck of OTECO 5000

After around 3 year of faithful planning and practical realization, we are proud to present the first open hatch shipment on one of our newbuildings in November 2018. With this vessel type we are pleased to offer new opportunities to our clients and expand our service in the project sector.

Our partner agency EPAS filmed some nice material of our MV Milady while loading windmill blades and other components in Emden. Taking via Drone during winter season, the video shows our vessel in comparison with Enercons very own E-Ship 1.Our singledecker Milady has a hold capacity of 5.248cbm with a total deadweight of 3.817mt. Most recently our lady "Mittelplate" was employed in a shipment of house modules for the small Icelandic village of Lambafell. Due to good draft of this vessel type, Briese Chartering was able to load in the small loading port of Skulte in Latvia, and picked up the cargo at the shippers doorstep. On the other hand, we used the flexible installation of the tweendeck panels to accomodate all oversized cargo units.On the video above, you can see our lady entering the port of Thorlakshofen in Iceland during best weather.

"Vom Meer nach Leer", from the Northsea back to Leer, the Ossiloop is done this year.Established in 1982, it is the 36th time that people are running totally 65 km in six sequences.More than 3,000 people signed in for this big running event in our region, and also Briese Schiffahrt has a running team this year: 13 people of the Briese staff are among the crowd, doing their utmost to reach the finish soonest possible.Good luck and have a nice time!
